Established in 1999 by Mr. Huynh and Mrs. Bui, Pho 99 quickly became a beloved staple of Vietnamese dining, known for its authentic flavours and commitment to quality. At our Pho 99 (SFU)- Burnaby campus location, we proudly continue this legacy under the leadership of The Tran family (since 2022), who was inspired by Mr. Huynh’s passion for Pho, often referred to as “the national soul and beauty of Vietnamese cuisine.” What sets us apart is our relentless pursuit of excellence. Our signature beef broth is a symbol of love, dedication and passion, simmered for over 20 hours using high-quality, local ingredients and a blend of 7 natural spices, ensuring rich, MSG-free flavours in every bowl. Beyond food, we strive to create a warm, welcoming dining experience for students, residents, and all who walk through our doors. Our mission extends beyond the kitchen: we are deeply committed to giving back through charity events and community support initiatives, embodying our belief in creating a positive impact, including but not limited to: fundraising for BC Children Hospital, BC Cancer; fundraising to support victims and families affected by the Alberta Wildfire and the Yagi Typhoon in Northen Vietnam).
